This and that

December 8, 2009

Trucking along today. I’ve been off the blogosphere lately. I seem to cycle in and out every few weeks. I’m trying to go with it. Clearly, my brain has decided it needs a break, and is probably processing a few too many things right now.

We got a new PO Box at our closest post office, but they have yet to install the new lock, so we can’t get in. They are perpetually understaffed there. I have been there several times, mid-morning, over the past week or so, and each time I had to wait 30-45 minutes. Sometimes they only have one window open. With Christmas season upon us, I imagine it will only get worse.

I officially closed the old box and put in the request to forward our mail to the new box. I’m guessing we’ll be in postal limbo for at least 2 weeks as it all gets straightened out. The old post office is understaffed, too. However, the woman who helped me today was practically jovial, so it was not all bad having to go there in person since they wouldn’t answer their phone.

Been trying to get back on a good schedule since returning from our Thanksgiving trip. It’s been hard. My clock is all messed up, and since Hubby was ill last week we haven’t been back to the gym. Feeling like everything is running at the wrong speed, and nothing’s in sync. Is it possible to find balance in December?

I had a similar ‘off rhythm’ sense this past week. And then the snow! Actually paced the house yesterday. Did some scrapbooking, paid bills, read a novel. Tomorrow I pick up Toby in DC and pack for TN. Hugs. Julia
