23 weeks or so, with my bump buddy, Brooke

I think pregnant people could fuel the world with their excess body heat. Thank goodness it’s fall.

Cletus is kicking right along. I guess s/he’s just hanging out and growing. Today, I saw my belly move from the outside for the first time. It’s not as weird as I thought it would be. Feeling and seeing the movement is reassuring.

My friend Brooke had her shower last weekend, and I was surprised to be showered with gifts from her. I love handmade presents. I knitted her this:

Darien named him "Radish." I plan to make him a piglet friend who D has already named "Francis Bacon" (Bacon for short).

And Brooke made me these adorable soakers to match some she made for her baby:

Unfortunately, I also came down with a cold a few days ago, and now I understand why getting sick when you’re pregnant is the worst. You can’t take anything. All you can do is hydrate and rest and hope it goes away soon. Here’s hoping.
